    Dr. Courtney Everson holds a PhD in Applied Anthropology with a long track record of community outreach, research, and leadership in education, non-profit, and health equity. Dr. Everson is currently appointed as a College Professor and Dean, and holds several leadership positions nationally, including as the Director of Research Education for the Midwives Alliance Division of Research, the Vice President of the Association of Midwifery Educators, and on the Board of Directors for the Midwifery Education Accreditation Council and the Academic Collaborative for Integrative Health.

    Dr. Everson provides consultant, facilitation, and training services to higher education institutions, non-profits, boards and businesses in strategic planning and learning, program evaluation, data analytics, community organizing, & equity.

    Dr. Everson's specializations include: perinatal health; childbirth; adolescent pregnancy and parenting; psychosocial stress; social support; doula care; midwifery care; research and clinical ethics; workforce development; evidence-informed practice; interprofessional collaboration; mixed methodologies; health inequities; culturally safe care; and marginalized communities. Dr. Everson is an avid, invited speaker at local, state and national forums, and engages consistent community outreach work. Dr. Everson has won multiple awards for her teaching, research, and service. Dr. Everson is also a perinatal health educator, birth doula, and postpartum doula in the Denver-metro area, primarily serving at-risk families and youth.
