Shannon Syzek:
I am a leadership coach and human resources consultant with professional experience that spans two decades in human resources leadership for organizations that are doing great business and making great impact. These include Denver Rescue Mission, Colson Center, Rocky Mountain Health Plans, and others. I use this background, combined with expertise as a SHRM-SCP HR professional, MBA, Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach, and leadership coach to offer insights designed to elevate both team and individual performance. I collaborate with small to medium organizations and their leaders to find solutions for the complex challenges your organization faces. I’m focused on bringing realistic tactical and strategic solutions that serve people and the organization. I do this with equal parts objectivity, integrity, process-mindedness, and empathy.

Tara Torline:
Tara Torline is the Director of Human Resources at Apex Park and Recreation District which she joined in 2019. She began her career in the human resources field in 2000 and has worked for both private and public sector employers. Tara earned her Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification in 2011 and master’s degree in human resources management from Keller Graduate School of Management in 2021. In her spare time, she enjoys utilizing the amazing fitness benefits offered by the district, traveling, and spending time with family.

Amy Kingston:

Amy is the Manager of Claims and Employer Programs for the Colorado Division of Workers’ Compensation overseeing the rules and regulation, claims management, carrier practices, legislation, prehearings and settlement, premium cost containment, coverage enforcement, self-insurance and customer service units.  In 2020, she was awarded the Next Gen Award by the IAIABC for individuals under 40 making substantial impacts on workers’ compensation and leading the industry into the future. Prior to working for the Division, Amy was a respondent attorney for Senter Goldfard & Rice and a fellow for the City and County of Denver.  Prior to law school, Amy was an HR manager for various companies and handled their workers’ compensation claims.  She received her J.D. and B.A. in English summa cum laude from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
